Infamous Lake Michigan undertow almost drowns children
Children of the Brooks family were (once again) almost claimed by the vicious Lake Michigan undertow yesterday during a family holiday outing. "We were having our traditional Memorial Day breakfast at the beach when I warned them about the undertow," said Barbara Brooks. "This undertow has almost drown thousands of children at the lake this year alone," she continued.
Law enforcement official Hi Wave stated, "We credit a masterful use of the Incessant Worry Principle on the part of the family's mother for saving these children. The IWP states that since the things that we worry most about never happen, incessant worrying prevents things from occurring." he continued. "Many other families simply don't worry enough about this lake's almost harrowing undertow and, as a consequence, have had their children almost drown in a far worse fashion than the Brooks'," Lt. Wave said.
Mrs. Brooks also attributes the family's salvation from near-drowning to having the children wait at least 2 hours after eating before swimming. "This is especially helpful when they have just eaten tons of eggs and sausage," she added.
